Bio

MELISSA LOSEBY is an Australian-born, Brooklyn-based writer currently working with Netflix as a writer & interviewer,  speaking with cast, filmmakers, and creative teams to produce behind-the-scenes stories about films and series for placement around the world.

She first discovered a love of creative writing at law school where she wrote and produced the university’s sketch comedy Law Revue and edited the humorous law school publication Obiter. During university summer vacations, she travelled to Sydney, New York, and London to undertake internships at magazines including seventeen in NYC and IF (independent filmmakers magazine) in Sydney. At seventeen magazine, she was asked to go on blind dates and write about her experiences for the magazine. Thankfully, this was before the publication was accessible online forever.

After graduation, Loseby worked in the field of entertainment communications in London, Los Angeles, and New York and despite some close calls, never met John Stamos, which is probably for the best given her attempt to win a date with him as a teenager, the experience of which was detailed in her essay on Hello Giggles.
